Maui’s iconic Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows has just debuted a new oceanfront spa, The Spa at Royal Lahaina. The debut of the spa is the final touch in Royal Lahaina’s sweeping transformation, which also includes reimagined bungalows, two refreshed oceanfront pools, updated lobby and several new dining and gathering spaces.
Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows, one of Maui’s original oceanfront resorts, announces the grand opening of The Spa at Royal Lahaina. Located oceanfront on the world-renowned Kāʻanapali Beach with panoramic views of Molokai and Lanai, the new spa represents yet another stunning experience added to the resort’s sweeping, multi-million dollar renovation.
Designed to harmonize with the island’s natural beauty, The Spa at Royal Lahaina is Maui’s newest oceanfront sanctuary. The thoughtfully-designed space features five private treatment suites; an open-air, oceanfront serenity lanai celebrating the sensorial healing of Blue Mind Therapy; a manicure and pedicure beauty bar; and a curated menu of massages, facials, body treatments, and beauty services, each rooted in the warmth of aloha and the renewing mana of Maui. A must experience treatment is called the Aloha Body Polish featuring a locally-made sugar scrub and Maui’s only Stellar Stem Cell Package, which includes a 60-minute stem cell facial, a five-week supply of enriched collagen facial masks, the stem cell radiant essence and the stellar airbrush for continued application while on vacation. Guests can enhance their treatments with custom add-ons, including red light therapy, CO2 Lift Mask and a scalp or foot massage. Whether seeking a restorative massage, a rejuvenating facial or a moment of stillness overlooking the ocean, every element of The Spa at Royal Lahaina is crafted to elevate the guest’s sense of well-being.
“The opening of The Spa at Royal Lahaina is a meaningful milestone in our resort’s journey of renewal,” said Nicholas Kuhns, general manager, Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows. “The new space is designed to serve as a wellness sanctuary where guests can experience the spirit of Maui through healing treatments and a deep connection to the island’s culture. Royal Lahaina has undergone a remarkable transformation and we are proud to usher in a new era that honors the resort’s legacy while elevating the experience for today’s traveler.”
Inspired by Hawaii’s native ‘Ohi‘a lehua plant—symbolizing renewal, resilience and transformation, the spa’s interior, designed by Honolulu-based architects The Vanguard Theory, evokes a calming, coastal aesthetic. The space blends natural textures, soft neutrals and contemporary furnishings to create a serene, elevated retreat inspired by the beauty of the island.
“The Spa’s new beachfront location offers guests stunning ocean views, where they can enjoy treatments while watching whales glide past. The tropical modern design seamlessly connects the newly renovated resort, creating a continuum of serenity amid a stylish retreat,” said Michelle Jaime, Leed AP and Founding Principal / Creative Director of The Vanguard Theory.
The Spa at Royal Lahaina laudes the resort’s extensive multi-million dollar renovation, which includes reimagined private bungalows, refreshed public spaces including the lobby and two oceanfront pools and two exciting new dining destinations: Lahaina Noon and Pineapple Moon. Additionally, guests can now enjoy The Branches, a vibrant new outdoor gathering oasis offering nightly live music from local performers. For a comprehensive wellness experience, guests can partake in complimentary sunrise yoga, hula lessons, watersport rentals, and access to tennis and pickleball courts, all designed to promote balance, movement, and connection. As the USTA’s preferred hotel partner on Maui, Royal Lahaina has just debuted newly resurfaced tennis courts and recently welcomed RSPA Elite Tennis Professional, Cathleen E. Nicoloff as head teaching professional, offering guests an elevated racquet sports experience that blends expert instruction with a world-class setting.
The Spa at Royal Lahaina is now accepting appointments for resort guests and kama‘aina. To be among the first to experience Maui’s newest luxury retreat, please visit royallahaina.com/the-spa.

Guests can choose from a curated menu of specialty treatments rooted in the renewing spirit of the island.
